My time at Cleeland
I attended Cleeland in 1995 - 1996. Lets see how much I remember shall we??...
My year11 co-ordinator was Ms Callaghan and she was awesome. She could see through all the crap that most of us tried to tell her...lol I remember her as being really nice and was a great maths teacher too. I attended Cleeland cos my best friend was there and her name is Candice Dodd. The best part is, we're still best friends to this day. I'm coming up short with who my teachers were at the same but I do remember Mr Shaw the Legal Studies teacher and I think I had Ms Chatzis for English, Mrs Wong for Psychology and dang this is annoying not remembering anybody else... I took P.E but can't remember his name...lol I do remember quite a few of the students that I hung out with namely, John Paule - who by the way is a VIC BOXING CHAMPION!!!
, Tanya Bosanko, Juliette White(nee Talanoa), Cosmin Pau, Gavin King, Lubo Lakic, Lily Dekic, Claudia Joya, Steve Tomic, Clint & Shawn the basketballers, Sharon Rodriquez, Kelly Belford, Fernando Lay and others.(way too many faces that I remember and my fingers will tire from mentioning everyone...lol)
I remember being very loud and haven't changed...lol I remember hanging out in the common room with my mates and playing rugby on da field with the fellas and having teachers tell me off for doing so...sheesh. I do remember getting into fights with the Dandenong High students, which come to think of it was so stupid cos we were always at odds with each other cos we were in different schools and claimed that the other school was stupid. Being teenagers it was all about owning and protecting your territory which was so ridiculous and the funny thing was I had mates at Dandy High and never quarrelled with them. There was alot of mischievous students at both schools and both were at fault but refused to admit to it.... aaahhhh teenage life...lol
Last years 10 year reunion for the class of 1996 was a great night and I'm sure the 50 year reunion will be as such when it comes to be. Cleeland memories are happy ones and it helped me forge lasting friendships and it's great that even tho' we're not always in each others lives we can always pick up where we left off. That's been my experience and I'm thankful for it.

Well ain't this a blast...woohoo!!!
Well as soon as I got the email about this website I immediately signed up and I'm excited about the proposed reunion. Good luck to those volunteers who are on the organizing committee. Alas I'm unable to offer my services but depending on the date of the reunion I hope to meet up with everyone especially those students who attended the CLASS OF '96 REUNION last year in October, http://cleeland96.multiply.com/ is the website where you'll find photos of the night.
10 YEAR REUNION:
The 10 year reunion was a blast and it was great to meet up with old friends and retell stories of our lives spent at Cleeland Secondary College and it was interesting for me to see how much has changed in 10 years. Some of us were married and had families of our own, or some had families and managing solely (like me) but most importantly, WE were having a great time. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY is what I remember most of the night. As y'all can see from the photos we were all smiles. Old friends coming together to celebrate a time in our lives where fond memories and strong friendships were forged which brings me to this thought... CLEELAND ROCKS!!! Lol.
Meeting up with some of the members of the class of '96 sure made my night. I missed them when I had left in year 12 but through out the years I've been fortunate enough to "bump" into them on the streets or out shopping. The reunion was arranged by Wijendran whose a super star (eh Wij are you part of the organizing committee???) and I'm glad he did so THANK YOU WIJENDRAN!!! You da man!!!
LAST WORDS:
I hope to see many of the past and current students of Cleeland Secondary College at the 50 year reunion celebrations. Good luck to the organizing committee and cheers y'all
